THE COURSES

The ASE Diploma in Sound Engineering (Two Years)
This highly practical and intensive course is designed to produce high-calibre sound engineers in both the live and studio environments. Students learn a wide range of skills and techniques including analogue studio recording, digital studio recording (to advanced level). Students are also given the opportunity to specialize in one or more of four fields: Live Sound, Music Production, Broadcast or Post-production for Video.The international certifications conferred on graduates of this course include: Pro Tools 101, Pro Tools 110, Pro Tools 201, Pro Tools 210M or Pro Tools 210P

ASE Access course to the Diploma in Sound Engineering (Three Years)
This programme is designed for the student who does not satisfy the entry requirements for the full-time two year diploma programme, but wishes to pursue the same educational outcome. The first year comprises some of the content covered by first-year students in the two-year diploma programme, and other material provided to aid the student in his/her studies. Once the first year has been successfully completed, the student completes the remainder of the dimploma programme over a two year period.

ASE Part-time Fundamental Certificate in Audio Technology
This course is aimed at two categories of students:
a) those who are already working in the audio industry and who wish to improve their skills, or change to other specialities or software, for example, Pro Tools.
b) those working in other industries and wishing to change their careers or simply acquire sound engineering knowledge.

The course includes analogue and digital studio recording and mixing. During the course, students complete digital recording projects and Pro Tools practicals. Students successfully completing this programme may apply for credits towards admission into the full-time certificate or diploma programmes.

ASE Part-time Intermediate Certificate in Audio Technology(17 Weeks)
This course is aimed at those who have already completed the basic part-time course and who wish to further improve their skills and knowledge. During this course, students will be covering more advanced material. Students successfully completing this programme may apply for credits towards admission into the full-time certificate or diploma programmes.

Pro Tools Short Courses
Pro Tools is the digital recording system used for audio and post production by top professional studios across the globe for recording and editing. It is universally recognized as the finest professional work station software of its type.
Pro Tools short courses are run in various time frames, aiming to suit the needs of all our potential students.
1. Full Time – The course is run and completed during the day from 9am until 5pm for one week (Monday – Friday)
2. Part Time Evening (Short) – The course is run in the evenings (2 evenings per week to be scheduled) from 6pm until 9pm and is completed in 6 weeks.
3. Part Time Evening (Long) – The course is run in the evenings (1 night per week to be scheduled) from 6pm until 9pm and is completed in 12 weeks.
4. Part Time Weekends – The course is run during the day from 9am until 5pm and runs for 5 consecutive Saturdays.

Each of the above variations covers ONE Pro Tools module.

Final Cut Pro 6 Video Editing
This class is designed for students wishing to learn how to edit professional videos using Final Cut Pro, with hands-on, interactive instruction. Understanding of the Macintosh operating system and basic computer navigation is desirable.
The final cut pro Short courses are scheduled in the same way as on Pro Tools Module, and you can choose any one of the below variations to study.
1. Full Time – The course is run and completed during the day from 9am until 5pm for one week (Monday – Friday)
